If you ever wanted to have an interesting decoration solution around your home that works well enough to become a welcome addition for a romantic dinner, then this is the way to go. These glass jars will be a great-looking solution for your decorative and other needs, something you can achieve without too much fuss, as we will illustrate with the following tips. Before you begin your work you will need the following items and enough free space to handle the job itself.

Procedure:

You need to soak the Jars in water to remove the tags and you may need to clean the glue residue as well, so make sure you have sparkly clean jars when you’re done. Soap will help, but you may need to have some paint thinner if you want to ensure you have no glue left on the jars themselves.

Take the yarn or some type of string. Having fuzzy yarn will mean a lot of its fibers may end up stuck to the jar, but they won’t be too bad if you handle the job with care. You would still do well to work with more solid yarn instead if you want to have crispy clear results.

You will also need a can of white spray paint or any other color that strikes your fancy, as long as you believe it will fit your general idea or the mood you want to set with them. Pumpkin orange is excellent for Halloween, white for winter time and so on.

Make sure you also have something to protect the surface you plan on spraying on. Since you will likely make a mess of sorts, you would do well to either use some sort of paper or plastic to protect your floors or any other place you plan on dealing with. Cleaning spray paint will be a real pain, especially when it comes to carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, floor cleaning in general and so forth. Make sure you cover a wider area since spray paint may drift in the air if you have drafts around the house.

You can use regular packing string mixed in with yard if you want to create some texture, wrapping the strings around the jar as tight as you can and making a knot. Once that is done you need to wrap the string around the rest of the jar so you can create a crisscrossing pattern until you are happy with the results. Once that is done you will need to tie the ends to where you started, cutting off their ends until they are secure.

The last step means placing the jars on your covered surface and spraying them down with two to three coats of spray paint. Let them dry for at least ten minutes between each coat, then once they’re dry simply cut the string in a single location and unwrap the rest for your completed project.
