Preventing ceramic tile floors:

If you have beautiful ceramic tile floors then have a look on following instructions.

Mopping: Ceramic tile floors need to be mopped regularly. The liquid spills should be cleaned immediately to avoid staining. You can also use soft sponge while mopping to have shiny ceramic tiles. Doing mopping on regular basis will reduces the chances of scratches.

Vacuuming: It is the good option to clean the tiles because ceramic tiles can get lot of dust overtime. Do a little sweeping before vacuuming. But remember that sweeping should be lighter in order to avoid scratches.

Don’t use abrasives: I strongly recommend you not to use the steel wool on ceramic tiles because it will not only produce scratches but also reduce the shiny appearance of the tiles. Too much use of abrasives will develop cracks in the tiles.

Avoid dragging large furniture pieces: This is a difficult thing to do because most of the time we are not caring for the tiles but our comfort. We do drag the heavy furniture to ease ourselves. Remember that this can produce scratch and your ceramic tile floors will be ruined.

Use sand paper and car wax to fix the scratch: if scratches develop and washing fails to deal with them go for a sand paper and car wax. Use the sand paper to smooth the edges of the scratch. Add sand back and forth using medium grit sand paper to sanding out the scratches. Clean it with soft cloth and add heavy-duty car wax on it. The wax will fill the scratch left after sanding. Clean the areas around wax with soft cloth and allow it to set. The most important step is sanding so please be patient and work with full concentration to sand the scratches. You can use your tooth brush to slowly apply pressure to the sand. In this way you will be able to fix your scratched tile.
